Form A Club
Form your own MGA Affiliate Golf Club!
Forming a club is a very popular option for golfers who want to enjoy the benefits of being an MGA Associate Member without joining through a specific golf course. In order to establish your Affiliate Golf Club, the USGA Handicap System requires a club to meet the following requirements:
- 10-Member minimum
Round up at least 10 golfers that all have a reasonable and regular opportunity to play golf together. Several of our current Affiliate Clubs are made up of people from the same workplace, place of worship, neighborhood or coffee group.
- Handicap Chairperson/Administrator
Your club will need to have a designated Handicap Chairperson who has access to a computer and is in charge of collecting the membership dues.
- Handicap Licensing
Your club will need to become licensed to issue USGA Handicap Indexes. Complete a Handicap Seminar (live or online) and fill out a Compliance Confirmation Form (included in information packet) to become licensed.
MGA Affiliate
Club Dues:
1st Year- Half-Price Club Dues of $25 + $19 per regular golfer/ $9 per junior golfer (18 and under)
Continuing Years- $50 Club Dues + $19 per regular golfer/ $9 per junior golfer (18 and under)
