BYRON, Minn. - After each pair carded a 6-under 66 at Somerby Golf Club, Madison Le and Olivia Deakins will join Elle Nachmann and Juno Taino at Daniel Island Club next May for the 2026 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship.
Current University of Minnesota teammates, Le and Deakins posted six birdies and 12 pars to claim co-medalist honors. Le competed in the 2024 national four-ball but missed the cut. She’ll look for redemption with a new partner in 2026.
Both players are seniors at the University of Minnesota, and both arrived via the transfer portal. Deakins spent three seasons at Saint Leo University in Florida before moving north for her final year of eligibility, while Le played two years at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Nachmann and Taino also fired a 6-under 66 in Monday’s qualifier, making seven birdies against a lone bogey. Nachmann played collegiately at the University of Pennsylvania following a decorated junior career. Taino, expected to graduate high school in 2029, is a rising junior golfer with multiple high finishes in AJGA events this summer.
Samantha Sommers and Olivia Herrick claimed the first alternate spot with a 4-under 68, and Emma Welch and Megan Welch took the second alternate spot with a 69.
The 2026 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship will be contested May 2–6 at Daniel Island Club. The course hosted the 2023 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and will welcome its second USGA championship next spring.
