How They're Doing: Minnesotans on Pro Tour Money Lists -- Jan 6

SAUK CENTRE, Minn. – Carding a 2-under par 70 for the second consecutive day, Andy Jacobson paced the field Sunday to collect his first Minnesota Public Golf Association State Public Links Championship at Greystone Golf Club.
Jacobson, Eagle Creek Golf Club, opened the championship Saturday with a 70 to share the first-round lead with Justin Burleson.
On Sunday, Jacobson recorded four birdies with two bogeys to shoot another 2-under par 70 to finish on top of the leaderboard by two strokes at 140.
Burleson couldn’t overcome a rough start to the final round Sunday with four consecutive bogeys before ending his day with four birdies over the final 10 holes to shoot even par 72 during the second round, finishing two shots behind Jacobson at 142.
Jacobson started quickly Sunday with a birdie at the par-5 second hole to move to 3-under for the championship before giving back a stroke at the third with a bogey.
After making the turn at even par for the round, Jacobson birdied the par-4 10th before failing to get up-and-down for par at the 225-yard, par-3 11th.
Jacobson would limit the damage, as he did all week with just three bogeys over 36 holes, rolling in his birdie chances at the 12th and 14th holes to shoot a final-round 70 to earn his second victory of the season.
"I was very pleased with only making 3 bogeys for the two rounds," Jacobson said. "I hit the ball really solid on Saturday, not quite as solid today. I had three poor tee-shots and was able to recover well from all of them.
"On [No. 12] I yanked my tee-ball into the trees and I laid up with a mid-iron and got it up-and-down from 120 yards to make a birdie. That was huge as I could easily have made bogey or worse on that hole. I was very pleased with my course management. Greystone fit my eye and I was comfortable with the course."
Jacobson advanced to the semifinals at the Minnesota Golf Association Mid-Players’ Championship in June before winning his third consecutive Lakeland Invitational on his home course two weeks later.
Along with the State Public Links title, Jacobson and partner, Aaron Barber, claimed the MPGA Four-Ball Championship in 2014, while Jacobson won the 2012 MGA Players’ Championship at Windsong Farm.
Jon Sauer (Tianna Country Club), Daryl Schomer (Wapicada Golf Club) and two-time champion Sammy Schmitz (Valleywood Golf Club) finished tied for third at 1-under par 143.
