Extended Season Boosts Golf Rounds in Minnesota in 2024

CANNON FALLS, Minn. – Justin Doeden fired a 5-under par 67 Saturday at Cannon Golf Club to earn medalist honors as well as a spot in the 2015 Minnesota Golf Association Players’ Championship.
A field of 27 players competed for four qualifying spots to this year’s championship, which will be played June 22-24 at Spring Hill Golf Club, in Wayzata, Minn.
Doeden, Legends Club, will be joined Andrew McCain, Braemar Golf Course, and Tony Vincelli, University Golf Club, who both carded rounds of 1-under par 71 Saturday.
Patrick Muellerleile, Tartan Park Golf Club, claimed the final qualifying position as he shot an even par 72.
Robert Newbold, Minneapolis Golf Club, and Corey Schommer, Legends Club, finished as first and second alternates, respectively.
