Hegland Shoots Final Round 70 to Win MPGA State Senior Public Links

  ANNANDALE, Minn. -- Bruce Hegland carded a final round 2-under par 70 Sunday to claim the Minnesota Public Golf Association State Senior Public Links Championship at Southbrook Golf Club.

Hegland, Cannon Golf Club, finished with a two-day total of 138, 10-strokes better than second place finisher Bob Neuberger of Rush Creek Golf Club (148).

Last year's champion Jon Empanger, Island View Golf Club, finished at 149 in a tie with five others in third place.
