Hillier's 69 Earns a Spot in the MGA Senior Players' Championship

  DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – Todd Hillier carded a 2-under par 69 Thursday at Detroit Country Club to earn medalist honors as well as a place in the 2015 Minnesota Golf Association Senior Players’ Championship.

A field of six players competed for two qualifying spots to this year’s tournament, which will be played co-currently with the MGA Mid-Players’ Championship, June 15-17 at Wayzata Country Club in Wayzata, Minn.

Hillier, Windsong Farm, will be joined at the championship by Mark Ecklund, Village Green Golf Club, who carded a 7-over par 78 to grab the final qualifying spot.

Mike Howell, Village Green Golf Club, and Jeff Wiltse, Bemidji Town and Country Club, finished as first and second alternates, respectively.
