OWATONNA, Minn. -- The Minnesota Golf Association’s Amateur Championship Qualifying season started on Monday with qualifying at Owatonna Country Club as Peter Jones earned medalist honors, shooting a 1-under par 70.

The qualifier was conducted to determine the field for the MGA’s annual stroke play championship, the 110th MGA Amateur Championship July 15-17 at Medina Golf and Country Club in Medina, Minn.

The Owatonna qualifier had a total field of 68 players vying for 13 qualifying spots.
