Extended Season Boosts Golf Rounds in Minnesota in 2024

CHASKA, Minn. – Carding a 3-under par 69 Wednesday at Dahlgreen Golf Club, Max Mason earned medalist honors as well as a spot in the 2015 Minnesota Golf Association Players’ Championship.
In one of the largest qualifying fields, 53 players competed for eight spots to this year’s championship, which will be played June 22-24 at Spring Hill Golf Club in Wayzata, Minn.
Mason, Spring Hill Golf Club, will be joined by Aaron Roth, Chaska Town Course, who fired a 2-under par 70, as well as Alex Kolquist, Ridgeview Country Club, who carded a 1-under par 71 Wednesday.
Taylor Sundbom, Ridgeview Country Club, Joe Conzemius, Cannon Golf Club, and Scott Thomas, Brackett’s Crossing Country Club, all earned spots to this year’s championship as all three golfers carded rounds of even par 72.
Blake Onkka, Bunker Hills Golf Club, and Justin Burleson, Valleywood Golf Course, claimed the final two qualifying spots by shooting 1-over par 71.
Matt Swanson, Purple Hawk Golf Club, and Jack Holmgren, Baker National Golf Club, finished as first and second alternates, respectively.
