RAMSEY, Minn. -- The Minnesota Golf Association’s Amateur Championship Qualifying season started on Monday with Sam Matthew and Nicholas Olsgaard sharing medalist honors shooting 2-under par 70 at The Links at Northfork.

The qualifier was conducted to determine spots for the MGA’s annual stroke play championship, the 110th MGA Amateur Championship July 15-17 at Medina Golf and Country Club, in Medina, Minn.

The Links at Northfork had a total field of 83 players with 15 qualifying spots.
