Meyer and Gaustad Move on to MGA Players Along with Five Others

  OAKDALE, Minn. – Firing rounds of 2-under par 68 Wednesday at Oak Marsh Golf Club, Minnesota Gopher Grady Meyer and Brett Gaustad earned a share of medalist honors as well as a spot in the 2016 Minnesota Golf Association Players’ Championship.

A field of 33 players competed for seven qualifying positions to this year’s event, which will be played June 20-22 at Madden’s Resort on Gull Lake in Brainerd, Minn.

Joining Meyer and Gaustad will be Alex Uloth, Brandon Sletmoen, Brady Hanson and Will Hickey who all carded rounds of 1-under par 69 Wednesday.

Travis Mauer shot an even par 70 to claim the final qualifying spot after a three-way playoff as Peter Jones and Chris Little finished as first and second alternates, respectively.
