Men's World Amateur Rankings -- Dec.17
December 17, 2024
PORTLAND, Ore. – With a par on the second playoff hole, Kenzie Neisen qualified for the match play portion of the 2015 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship early Wednesday at Portland Golf Club.
Neisen, New Prague, Minn., carded an opening-round 77 Monday before shooting an even par 71 during the second round Tuesday to finish tied for 55th at 148.
A playoff was needed to determine the 64-player field for match play as 16 players competed for just 10 spots.
After Neisen made par on the first playoff hole, play was suspended due to darkness. When play resumed, Neisen rolled in her par putt to clinch a spot in the next stage.
Neisen faces Mexico’s top-ranked amateur golfer Maria Fassi during the Round of 64 as the two will tee off at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday at Portland Golf Club.
