RAMSEY, Minn. – Jesse Polk carded a 1-over par 72 Monday at Rum River Hills to earn medalist honors as well as a spot in the 2015 Minnesota Golf Association Mid-Players’ Championship.
The qualifier was held to determine the field at this year’s event as a field of 14 players competed for two qualifying spots.
The eighth MGA Mid-Players’ Championship will be played co-currently with the MGA Senior Players’ Championship June 15-17 at Wayzata Country Club.
Polk, Somerby Golf Club, will be joined at the championship by Shell Wheeler, North Oaks Country Club, who shot a 2-over par 73 to grab the second and final qualifying spot.
Benjamin Haselbauer, Hiawatha Golf Club, and Terry O’Laughlin, the Links at Northfork, finished as first and second alternates, respectively.
