VanArragon Fires Back-to-back 68's to Cruise to Twin Cities Championship Title

 HASTINGS, Minn. – Entering the final round of the 30^th Twin Cities Championship tied at the top of the leaderboard with Eric Rislove, Caleb VanArragon posted a 4-under 68 Sunday at Hastings Golf Club to cruise to a seven-shot victory at 8-under 136.
 
VanArragon improves from his third-place finish a year ago and collects his first win in the state since 2018 when he won the Minnesota State Junior Boys’ Championship at The Bridges.
 
Playing his first six holes in even par Sunday, VanArragon quickly jumped to 2-under for the round following an eagle at the par-5 seventh. A birdie at the par-5 10^th put VanArragon at 7-under for the championship and he would add to his lead with birdies at the 13^th and 16^th holes. A bogey at the par-3 17^th put VanArragon in the clubhouse with his second consecutive round of 68 to finish seven shots better than Rislove at 136.
 
Rislove carded a bogey-free 68 during his opening round at Theodore Wirth Golf Course Saturday before tallying nine consecutive pars to open his second round at Hastings Sunday. A birdie at the 10^th put Rislove at 5-under for the championship, but he would play his final eight holes in 4-over to finish in second at 1-under 143.
 
Day One’s highlights also included an ace by Jonathan Northard at the 195-yard fourth hole Saturday at Theodore Wirth with a 6-iron.
 
Benjamin Hicks fired a final-round 73 Sunday to finish in a tie for third with Gabe Tritschler and Wyatt Wasko at 2-over 146.
