Extended Season Boosts Golf Rounds in Minnesota in 2024

CANNON FALLS, Minn. – A 1-under par 71 at Cannon Golf Club earned Tony Vincelli medalist honors Saturday as well as a spot in the 2015 Minnesota Golf Association Mid-Players’ Championship.
A field of 21 players competed for three qualifying spots to this year’s championship, which will be played co-currently with the MGA Senior Players’ Championship June 15-17 at Wayzata Country Club, in Wayzata, Minn.
Vincelli, University Golf Club, will be joined at the tournament by Brad Keil, Willinger’s Golf Club, who carded a 3-over par 75 and by Tony Brown, Rush Creek Golf Club, who shot 5-over par 77 to claim the final qualifying spot.
Andrew Hunter, Somerset Country Club, and Michael Coffey, Wayzata Country Club, finished as first and second alternates, respectively.
