Wheeler Medals With 67, Moves on to MGA Mid-Players' with Hickey and Little

  OAKDALE, Minn. – Shell Wheeler carded a 3-under par 67 Wednesday at Oak Marsh Golf Club to earn medalist honors and a spot in the 2016 Minnesota Golf Association Mid-Players’ Championship.

A field of 23 players competed for three qualifying positions to this year’s event, which will be played concurrently with the MGA Senior Players’ Championship June 15-17 at Bent Creek Golf Club in Eden Prairie, Minn.

Joining Wheeler at this year’s championship will be Will Hickey, who fired a 1-under par 69 Wednesday, and Chris Little who finished at even par 70.

Steve Chesley and Jason Hasselman finished as first and second alternates, respectively.
