RUM RIVER HILLS, KENYON TEAMS ATOP LEADERBOARD AT MGA NET TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Edina, Minn., (September 6, 2005) The four-person teams of Lance Prescott,

Wade Parkin, Kelly Bakke and Steve Zickerman of Rum River Hills Golf Club and Shane Lunde, Terry Schwanke, Duane Lunde and Gary Bonde of Kenyon Country Club hold a one shot lead after day one of the 13th annual Minnesota Golf Association Net Team Championship at Grand View Lodge in Brainerd, Minn. today.

The two teams each shot a net 24-under-par 120 for the day.

Just one shot back is the team of Kim Ross, Dennis Ballinger, Rich Kodelka and Roger Bresnahan of New Prague Golf Club, which shot a net 23-under-par 121.

In all, nine teams are within eight strokes of the lead heading into tomorrows final round.

Thirty-eight teams entered this years competition, which uses one net best ball score among two, two-person teams. The teams played The Preserve today and will conclude by playing The Pines in tomorrows final round.

Tee times start tomorrow at 8 a.m. the leaders tee off at 1:20 p.m.
