EDINA, Minn. — The Minnesota Golf Association (MGA) is proud to announce a new statewide partnership with Gray Duck Spirits that will directly support the mission and programs of the Minnesota Golf Association Foundation through sales at participating MGA member clubs.
The partnership pairs two Minnesota brands committed to community, connection, and growing the game of golf across the state. Beginning this summer, funds generated through the partnership will help the MGA Foundation continue expanding affordable access to golf, scholarship opportunities, youth development initiatives, and inclusive programming throughout the state.
“Golf has always been about bringing people together, and this partnership is a tremendous example of Minnesota organizations coming together to create meaningful impact,” said Jon Mays, MGA Executive Director & COO. “Every Gray Duck Spirits purchase at participating member clubs will help fund programs that introduce more people to the game, remove barriers to participation, and create life-changing opportunities through golf.”
The MGA Foundation continues to experience record growth and impact across its programming, including:
Youth on Course Minnesota — The 2nd largest Youth on Course program in the country, now serving more than 25,000 golfers ages 6-18. In 2025, Minnesota youth played more than 131,000 rounds of golf for $5 or less at over 140 participating golf courses.
Scholarships — Since 1998, the MGA Foundation has awarded nearly $1 million to over 90 students through its two scholarship programs that support young women pursuing a four-year degree and co-ed students in two-year vocational or technical programs.
Caddie Development — Supporting youth caddie opportunities and leadership development throughout Minnesota while helping connect young people to Evans Scholarship opportunities and mentorship experiences through the game.
Adaptive Golf — Expanding opportunities for golfers with physical and cognitive disabilities through clinics, instructional programming, and competitive events, including the Minnesota Adaptive Open.
Community Fund – Launched in 2026, the fund supports grassroots initiatives using golf to expand access, foster personal development, and strengthen communities across Minnesota.
1,000 Sets of Clubs – Year-to-date we are over 40% towards the goal of putting 1,000 brand-new sets of golf clubs into the hands of kids and adaptive golfers who want to play but lack equipment.
The partnership also reflects the shared Minnesota roots and community-first mindset of both organizations.
“Gray Duck Spirits is thrilled to partner with the MGA and support programs that are making a real difference across Minnesota,” said Chad Greenway, Co-founder of Gray Duck Spirits & former Minnesota Viking. “Golf creates lifelong relationships, teaches important values, and builds community. We’re excited to help support the future of the game through the MGA Foundation.”
Adult golfers and club members across Minnesota will have the opportunity to support the cause simply by enjoying Gray Duck Spirits products during the golf season.
Together, the MGA and Gray Duck Spirits are toasting to the future of golf in Minnesota.
The Minnesota Golf Association Foundation exists to make golf more accessible for all Minnesotans, foster personal growth and community development, and ensure the long-term sustainability of the game through youth programming, scholarships, caddie development, and adaptive golf initiatives.
Gray Duck Spirits is a Minnesota-based spirits company committed to creating premium products while supporting community-driven partnerships and experiences across the state.
