Tournament Information

Registration Status: Opens 8:30 am, March 3.

Entry Fees:

$160 (walking)
$205 (riding, includes $45/person cart fee for 2 rounds)

NOTE The field is limited to the first 42 players to enter.

Golf Cart
The use of a golf cart is permitted for this event.  Carts may be prepaid online at the time of entry.  Or, it may be paid on-site each day of the tournament.  Carts will be sent out on a first come basis after prepaid carts.

Eligibility:

Entry is open to any amateur golfer:
(1) Who is an MGA Associate Member,
(2) Who is at least 25 years of age as of the first day of the Championship, 
(3) Whose Minnesota Handicap Index® is active and does not exceed 18.0 at the time of entry, and
(4) Whose Minnesota Handicap Index® is active effective the first day of the Championship.

An entry may be rejected at the discretion of the Committee at any time, including after the competition has closed.


NOTE: For eligibility purposes, an MGA Associate Member through the MGA Join On-Line (JOL) program must have a Minnesota connection in addition to JOL membership in order to participate. Examples of connections would be a MN resident (permanent or seasonal), a non-resident student at a MN school, and/or an MGA course connection, validated by a course employee and/or score posting record. The Committee’s decision on such a connection and eligibility is final.   

 

Additional Information

FORMAT:
CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT: 36-holes, stroke play from a longer yardage (5,600 - 5,900 yards).
OTHER FLIGHTS: 36-holes, stroke play from a shorter yardage (5,300 - 5,600 yards).

The Champion will be the player with the lowest 36 hole total from the Championship Flight.  In the event of a tie for the Championship, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play.  A tie for first place in any other flight will be broken by a scorecard playoff as recommended by USGA policy.

Flights:
The lowest 12 handicap indexes at the close of entries will be placed in the Championship Flight.  Any other player may elect to play in the Championship Flight or be placed in one of the other flights as determined after registration has closed.  A Flight Report will be published after flights have been established.  

Schedule:
Tuesday, August 27 - Round 1: Starting times will begin in the early afternoon.
Wednesday, August 28 - Round 2: Starting times will begin in the early afternoon unless a smaller field allows for starting times to be merged with the Men's Mid-Am and play in the morning.

NOTE: Round 1 Starting times for will be available after registration has closed.

Practice Rounds:
Practice round times will be available.  Please contact the Chaska Town Course (952/443-3748) and identify yourself as an MGA Women's Mid-Amateur contestant to schedule a time. The fee may be dependent upon the day and time you play.

Driving Range:
Range balls will be provided prior to play each day. The range will be open at least 60 minutes prior to the first tee time.

Food & Beverages:
A lunch will be served for all players following the completion of play on Day 2.  Food and beverages are available at other times on a cash or charge basis.
