Membership Renewal & Auto-Renew

Minnesota Golf Association Membership Renewal & Auto-Renew Policy

Your Minnesota Golf Association (“MGA”) and club membership term may be renewed for an additional twelve (12) month period (“Renewal Term”) by paying the then-current membership fees prior to the expiration of your current membership term. By agreeing to renew your membership, you authorize the MGA to charge the then-current membership fees (inclusive of applicable taxes, service fees, and processing fees) to the credit card on file associated with your account. The MGA reserves the right to change membership fee rates for any Renewal Term. Any changes to membership fees will be communicated in advance through an annual email notification.

Auto-Renew Enrollment

You may have the option to enroll in auto-renew in order to automatically extend your MGA and club membership. If you enroll in auto-renew, and unless you cancel your participation before the applicable cancellation deadline, the credit card on file with your account will automatically be processed on or near your anniversary billing date each year. You will then be charged the then-current membership fees (inclusive of applicable taxes, service fees, and processing fees) for the following Renewal Term.

Members will receive an annual reminder email in advance of when membership fees will be processed, informing them of the amount due for the upcoming Renewal Term.

Cancellation of Auto-Renew

Members may cancel participation in auto-renew to avoid incurring annual charges. Cancellation may be made online through the GHIN app or GHIN website, or by sending notice of cancellation via email to membership@mngolf.org. To avoid charges for the next Renewal Term, cancellation must be completed no later than five (5) business days before the scheduled payment processing date as disclosed in the annual renewal notice.

If cancellation occurs, members will continue to have access to their membership benefits through the end of the current paid membership term. If at any time during a membership term a member’s eligibility changes, auto-renew will be deactivated and re-enrollment will be required. Auto-renew begins upon the start of the first Renewal Term and will process annually on or about the anniversary of the member’s original MGA and club membership activation date.

Payment Processing and Account Responsibility

Members will receive an annual email receipt after payment is processed for any Renewal Term. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure that the credit card on file and associated account information remain accurate and current. If the MGA is unable to process payment through the credit card on file, membership may be suspended or cancelled, and access to member benefits may be denied until payment is complete.

Failure to renew a membership prior to expiration of the current membership term may result in cancellation of membership, including inactivation of a member’s scoring record, Handicap Index, and associated data.
