Where Experience and Community Come Together

A Tour Built for Seasoned Golfers

The MGA Senior Tour is one of the MGA’s most popular and enduring programs, offering men age 55 and older a season-long schedule of competitive, yet welcoming golf events at premier courses across Minnesota.

Participants are grouped into regional sections — Metro, Southern, Northern, Super Senior, Gross — allowing golfers to compete locally while also enjoying select All-Section events. Formats typically feature 18-hole stroke play with both gross and net scoring, and players earn points throughout the season to qualify for playoffs and team competitions.

More than just a tournament schedule, the Senior Tour fosters camaraderie, sportsmanship, and regular opportunities to connect with fellow golfers. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or trying organized play for the first time, the MGA Senior Tour offers a well-run, community-focused experience for all.

Divisions of Play

Players compete within their respective divisions at each event. Each division provides competitive opportunities among players of similar age and experience while maintaining a unified Tour community.

Senior Division (Ages 55–64)
  • Events offered statewide
  • Monday shotgun starts
Master Division (Ages 65+)
  • Events offered statewide
  • Monday shotgun starts

Event Format

All events use Stableford scoring with both Gross and Net competitions.

Points are awarded as follows:

  • Bogey – 1 point
  • Par – 2 points
  • Birdie – 3 points
  • Eagle – 4 points
  • Double Eagle – 5 points

Players may pick up after reaching net double bogey to maintain pace of play.

Stableford scoring encourages positive, aggressive play — one difficult hole won’t derail your round, and every strong performance is rewarded.
