LAKEVILLE, Minn – Jason Christenson birdied three of his last four holes Wednesday at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club to claim the Twin Cities Senior Championship. Christenson posted a 1-under 70 to edge out Bill Tadewald by a shot and Brad Johnson and 2022 Twin Cities Senior champ Keith Piotrowski by two shots to claim his first state victory.

Christenson started steadily with pars on his first two holes followed by a birdie at the fifth hole to move to 1-under for the day. He continued the solid play, making pars on his next three holes to sit at 1-under through six holes. He would stumble at the par-4 seventh to fall back to even par.

Christenson made the turn at even par but would give back two strokes with bogeys on the 10th and 13th holes to move back to 2-over for the day and two-shots back from the leader Tadewald.

Standing on the 14th tee two-shots back, Christenson made the move necessary to win the tournament. He would go on to roll in birdie putts on the three of his last four holes, including a birdie on the 18th hole while still tied with Tadewald, to claim the one-shot win and the first state victory on his resume.

Jim Ryan of Hazeltine National Golf Club fired an even-par 71 to claim the Masters Division by two shots over Tim Maaske.

Jerome Baier of Monticello Country Club carded a net 5-under 66 to claim the Senior Net Division title by two shots over Mike Olson while RJ Smiley of Northwood Hills Golf Courses shot a net 3-under 68 to win the Masters Net Division by two shots over Paul Korman and Skip Schultz.
