Ben Polland played high school golf for Bloomington Jefferson and college golf for Campbell University, which has a Golf Course Management Program. He is the PGA Director of Golf at Shooting Star of Jackson Hole in Teton Village, Wyoming. He is not a member of the PGA Tour; so he is not listed on the official PGA Tour Money List. If he were a member, however, he would be No. 181 on the list, based on the $20,424 that he won on Sunday in the Cognizant Classic. The 34-year-old Polland made the cut on the nuimber Friday with a 36-hole score of 137 (66-71). At that point, he was tied with Joe Highwater (65-72). Highwater proceeded to shoot a pair of 64s on the weekend and won the tournament (and $1,656,000) by two strokes with a 72-hole total of 265. In 2016, Polland won the (National) PGA Assistant Professional Championship. In 2024, he won the (National) PGA Professional (Club Pro) Championship, and also the Rocky Mountain PGA Section Championship.
