VanArragon Finishes 13th in Bahamas to Begin 2026 Korn Ferry Season

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – Recording back-to-back birdies over his final two holes Thursday, Minnesotan Caleb VanArragon fired a final-round 68 to kick off his sophomore season on the Korn Ferry Tour with a top-15 finish at the Bahamas Golf Classic.

VanArragon entered Thursday’s final round in a share of 11th place before dropping two spots on the final day to finish tied for 13th at 21-under 267.

The former Blaine High School standout and Valparaiso University golfer carded four birdies over a five-hole span to begin his final round Thursday, but was slowed by a bogey at the 12th and a double-bogey at the 16th.

Stringing together three birdies over his final four holes helped the 24-year-old collect the fifth top-15 finish in just his 27th start on tour.

In September, VanArragon claimed the best finish of his career at the Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation, where he placed tied for fourth.

The 2023 Minnesota Golf Association Amateur and Minnesota State Open champion finished 56th on the points list in 2025 to retain his Korn Ferry status for the 2026 season.

Playing in his first Korn Ferry event this week, 2024 Minnesota State Open champion Tyler Leach climbed 11 spots during the final round to place tied for 44th.

The Spring Valley, Wis., native opened the championship with an 8-under 64 before finishing with a 69 Thursday.

Taylor Dickson, a 33-year-old Korn Ferry Tour veteran, fired a bogey-free 7-under 65 Thursday to earn his third victory in his 100th start on tour, carding a career-best 27-under 261 to claim a three-stroke victory over Canadian Roger Sloan.
