Golfers Celebrate Third Annual Golf Day Minnesota on June 6

EDINA, Minn. (May 29, 2026) – Golf courses and communities across the state will come together Saturday, June 6, for the third annual Golf Day Minnesota, a statewide celebration of the game and the efforts being made to ensure golf is welcoming and accessible to all Minnesotans.

Hosted by the Minnesota Golf Association (MGA), the Minnesota Golf Association Foundation, The Meadows at Mystic Lake and LaunchPad Golf The Meadows, Golf Day Minnesota highlights the positive impact golf has throughout the state—from introducing youth to the game to expanding opportunities for adaptive golfers and underrepresented communities.

“Golf Day Minnesota is about more than just playing a round of golf, it is a celebration of the people, places, and relationships that make this game so meaningful across our state. Golf has the unique ability to bring communities together, create lifelong friendships, and positively impact lives both on and off the course. We hope this day inspires golfers across Minnesota to not only enjoy the game, but also recognize the incredible opportunity we have to grow it, preserve it, and make it more accessible for future generations,” said MGA executive director and COO, Jon Mays.

As part of the statewide celebration, KFAN’s “Tee to Green” show will broadcast live from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Meadows at Mystic Lake, followed by a special community event from 5 to 7 p.m. at LaunchPad Golf The Meadows. The event will welcome adaptive golfers, youth participants from First Tee Minnesota and the Solomon Hughes Sr. Golf Academy (SHSGA), along with underrepresented youth and families from the Shakopee community for an evening centered around fun, instruction, and connection through golf.

Another highlight of Golf Day Minnesota is its golf club donation drive made possible by 2nd Swing Golf at both LaunchPad Golf The Meadows and The Meadows at Mystic Lake. Donation boxes will be available for the public to donate new or gently used golf clubs, which will help subsidize the purchase of junior golf sets for deserving youth participants.

In addition, golfers who make a tee time Saturday (June 6) at The Meadows at Mystic Lake can expect exclusive on-course giveaways and promotions in celebration of Golf Day Minnesota.

Golf Day Minnesota also encourages golfers statewide to celebrate by playing a round, sharing their experiences online using #GolfDayMN, and supporting local programs that help grow the game.

More About the Participating Partners

The Meadows at Mystic Lake and LaunchPad Golf The Meadows help support and grow the game throughout the state, alongside KFAN Radio, home of the weekly “Tee to Green” show highlighting golf across Minnesota. The SHSGA is a youth-focused mentorship program that promotes academic and athletic achievement through golf; First Tee Minnesota isa youth development organization that teaches life and leadership skills through the game; and the Minnesota Golf Association Foundation expands access to golf through adaptive programming and inclusion initiatives for golfers of all abilities. Support from Minnesota-based 2nd Swing Golf helps remove barriers to entry and make the game more accessible for youth and underrepresented communities statewide.
