From this group of finalists, one female golfer and one male golfer will be selected as Ms. Minnesota Golf and Mr. Minnesota Golf. The awards will be presented at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, at the Windsong Farm Golf Club in Independence, Minn. All finalists and their families are invited to attend.
The evening’s keynote speaker is Katie Hanneman of Orono, Minn. Hanneman competed as a Division I golfer for four seasons at the University of South Carolina, where she helped the Gamecocks reach an NCAA Championship. She later served as head coach at East Tennessee State University and the University of Minnesota, and is currently in her fifth season as head coach of the women’s golf team at the University of St. Thomas.
Created in 2016, the Ms. Minnesota Golf and Mr. Minnesota Golf awards recognize outstanding female and male high school senior golfers based on their performance on the course, academic achievement, and strength of character.
